The Loxley Herd of Pedigree Beef Shorthorn Cattle was established in 1998 by Roger Hebdon a member of the Beef Shorthorn Society, bred in the county where the breed originated.

Roger first started showing Pedigree Beef Shorthorns in 1998 and has triumphed to win Breed Championship many times over the years.

The Shorthorn is a traditional breed noted for its grazing ability particularly on marginal land and its ease of calving and handing with quiet temperament. They make very good mothers and decent suckler cows, suitable for all types of beef production producing high quality marbled beef.

On the commercial front more people are moving to the Shorthorn bull to put over their suckler herd, also small holders who want a few cows that are commercially sound and easy to handle.

Visitors always welcome.
